ProKids celebrated CASA volunteers at our annual Fall Fling at Maketewah Country Club. Five CASA Volunteers received the Darlene Kamine Advocate of the Year recognition and 24 new CASA volunteers were sworn in by Hamilton County Juvenile Court Administrative Judge John Williams.
“Working together, we are able to provide powerful advocacy for the children we serve,” said CASA Program Director Charlotte Caples, “It really does make a difference.”
Each year, selected CASA Volunteers share their stories and are honored with the Darlene Kamine Advocate of the Year award.
Kamine, a Juvenile Court Magistrate for 18 years, helped found ProKids in 1981. The award was created to recognize the accomplishments of outstanding ProKids CASA Volunteers. The recipients of this award are examples of individuals making extraordinary efforts on behalf of a child.
The Fall Fling is a chance to celebrate all our CASA volunteers and the differences they make to the children they serve.
