“I was a school social worker for years, and I loved it, but I often felt powerless to help the children. When I learned about ProKids and being an advocate in court, I just knew right away I wanted to be involved.
“I started at ProKids in 1989 as a Guardian ad Litem, then became a CASA Volunteer Manager in 1996, and later, Program Director. I have such a huge passion for these children and believe they deserve a chance at success and permanency—just like our own children.
“Working every day with CASA volunteers is a big bonus for me—it’s amazing to work with volunteers who see these children with the same compassion as I do. This work brings great balance to my life. I know I have chosen the perfect career and best job possible.” —Charlotte Caples, ProKids CASA Volunteer Program Director
